ILPI conducts the second round training for Ethiopia MFA

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia: 14.12.2015 - 15.12.2015

ILPI successfully conducted the second round training on capacity building in foreign policy analysis to thirty staffs of the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Ambassador Hotel in Addis Ababa from December 14-15, 2015.

This is part of the capacity building project taken up with the Ministry, which will run until February 2016. The title of the training was “Policy Analysis for the Policy Research and Analysis Directorate (PORAD), Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs”.This seminar focused on quantitative and qualitative research methods in policy analysis. It was conducted by ILPI’s Programme Director, Dr. Reza Lahidji and Senior Advisor / Research Professor, Dr. Dereje Feyissa.

The first seminar was conducted in November and focused on general principles of policy analysis and leves of foreign policy analysis. The third seminar will be in mid January 2016 and it will be on geopolitical analysis and will be delivered by Prof. Kjetil Tronvoll, Dr. Dereje Feyissa, and Dr. Fantu Cheru.
