On 13 October 2016, ILPI’s director Njal Hostmaelingen and advisor Anja S. Ostgard held a lecture at Centro de Formação de Jornalistas (Cefojor) – Centre for the training of journalists, addressing the topic of “access to information”.
How the right to “seek, receive and impart information” is protected through international human rights law, as well as the legal framework protecting this right in Norway, was the focus of this lecture. Around 55 persons attended, including members of media. Some of the audience were media students at the school, law students, teaching staff, journalists and media actors. The lecture was followed by a discussion chaired by Director of Cefojor, Joaquim Paulo. The representatives from ILPI were interviewed by a local television channel.
