ILPI successfully conducted a training course for U.S diplomats based in Addis Ababa from October 13-15th, 2015.
This three-days training for US diplomats based in Addis Ababa aimed to shed light on a wide range of topics in contemporary Ethiopian society. It consisted of lectures and extensive Q&A sessions as well as open discussions on selected topics. A core team of ILPI’s Senior scholars consisting of Professor Kjetil Tronvoll, Dr. Dereje Feyissa, Dr. Fantu Cheru, and Dr. Terje Østebo offered the course.
Additionally, senior ILPI legal advisor Dr. Girmachew Alemu joined the lecture team on special sessions to elaborate on niches of expertise on Ethiopian law and human rights.
