In addition to Hellestveit, the debate featured Anders Amundsen (Minister of Justice), Børge Brende (Minister of Foreign Affairs), Bård Vegar Solhjell (SV -Social Left Party) and Ulf Sverdrup (director, Norwegian Institute of International Affairs).

The debate centred around the migration crisis currently affecting Europe and Norway, and the importance of finding durable political solutions to the emerging and current refugee flows. Hellestveit talked about North Africa and the Middle East regions, buffer-zones and a lack of resources and willingness among countries in these regions to find solutions for what is recognised as a global refugee crisis.
