Lars-Christian U. Talseth holds a D.Phil in Politics and an M.Phil in Russian and East European Studies from the University of Oxford, and a BA in International Studies from the University of Oslo. His doctoral and masters theses discussed the rise and fall of the ENergy Dialogue between Russia and the European Union.
Talseth has been affiliated with several of the world’s leading think tanks, including SWP Berlin, CEPS and the Carnegie Moscow Centre. He is a former Doctoral Fellow at the Research Council of Norway, and Student Scholar at NUPI. Talseth has also worked as a journalist in Norwegian mainstream media, including Aftenposten, VG, Dagbladet, Dagens Næringsliv and Morgenbladet.
His main interests include energy policy, EU-Russia relations, security studies, politics and international relations. Moreover, Talseth has an acquired taste for Soviet literary theory, and a sentimental love for old-school Fender bass guitars.
