Project Leader: Kjetil Tronvoll

Aim of the project

The aim of this project is to investigate to what extent and how Ethiopia´s economic and development ideology – the developmental state model – represent a consolidation of peace and sustainable development; as compared to an alternative scenario in which new conflicts will emerge, both originating from regional security dynamics as well as domestic resistance to the development ideology imposed.
