Ethiopia: consolidating peace, or emerging new conflicts?

Aim of the project

The aim of this project is to investigate to what extent and how Ethiopia´s economic and development ideology – the developmental state model – represent a consolidation of peace and sustainable development; as compared to an alternative scenario in which new conflicts will emerge, both originating from regional security dynamics as well as domestic resistance to the development ideology imposed.

Deliverables & time frame

Deliverables
The main deliverable of the project will be to disseminate our research findings through a set of scholarly articles, which subsequently will be compiled into a book volume to be published internationally.

Time frame
The project period is between April 2013 – June 2016.
